About Us
(yep, we're an us now)
We are mostly Deakin Brook, who started the
Inanimate Objectives website back in 2007. Before then his ideas had
been collecting on scraps of paper in his pockets. Well they still do
collect there, but there are now more ideas than his pockets can hold,
so he had to put some online.
Fearing, with his limited understanding of the internet, that the same
fullness would befall his website, he decided to commit some of his
ideas to print. However, the ideas kept growing, and soon it became
more than he could handle alone.
Some collaboration was needed, the first such collaborator being Marisa
Cherry Brook, and from collaboration was spawned more ideas. And so the
ideas could not be contained, but collaboratively maintained they would
make their way into the world. Perhaps to spawn ideas of their own.
