About the Web-Comicist
Deakin Brook
I'm coining the term 'web comicist' to describe my role on the site, along with
coining similar phrases to go along with it. I do like to make up words.
Well generally I like to make things up. Not like I'm a liar, no. I just like
to create. I have been lost for a time in a sea of... well not water, and have
found myself returning to my roots. I am an illustrator and weaver of, not
wool, but stories. I'm also trying hard to bring ruin to the metaphor for some
reason. And jokes, I like jokes. Not the knock knock kind, or any sort where
you have to sit down and listen to someone for five minutes. But I like writing
humour. Even when I'm not trying to write humour it often sneaks in there.
I can also be referred to as an artist, and have studied in the student union
bar, London. Actually I studied as a painter, with a side in video, and am
still interested in pursuing such projects. But like I say, returning to my
roots.
Some of my more 'fine art' work can be found on deviantArt,
along with some more illustratory work that may not find it's way onto this site. Further images may be found on MySpace,
along with more detail about me. If you want to befriend me on MySpace,
best to send me a message there first letting me know you are a

It is not my intention to upset anyone, and generally I wouldn’t expect to, but
just in case you are the kind of person who would take offence and think of
complaining about it, here it is; The views expressed within these comics are not necessarily
the views of the web comicist, and may at times be anti something or other that
others may be pro to. The 'blah' section of the front page is where I will use
my real voice. Please do not accuse me of believing something a fictional or
otherwise drawn character would seem to. Drawings are not real people, and some
of my characters may well be idiots. And that’s funny, this is a humorous
comic, so please don't take it seriously. Apologies if still my work does
somehow offend, but there will at times be mocking of things for a laugh, such
is the nature of humour. If you are so offended that you feel the urge to
complain, then perhaps you are reading the wrong web-comic, but be careful out
there, because I’m sure you will find more offensive sites than this. Incidentally,
just because the site may have pretty drawings doesn't mean it's for children.
It is not, and as such adult themes and language may sometimes crop up. Anyway, if you are
still planning on reading the comics on the site, then enjoy.
